Pick Up Golf

Many people when they are beginning to pick up golf spend more time perfecting their golf swing than discovering any other single skill for golf. You should also expect to have this same need, after all a terrible golf swing will result in poor playing skills while a stable and refined swing will make you highly successful.

Do you play better golf when you walk or cart? ?

Question: Do you play better golf when you walk or cart? ?

I play up to 6 to 8 strokes better when I walk. I think it gives me more patience and time to think about my next shot.

I much prefer walking and, like you, find that my scoring is better. I find that using a cart is rather lazy and anyway it is much healthier to walk. There is a saying something like this " golf is a walk spoiled " - it is spoiled even more when using a cart.

I'm with you there. I much prefer to walk and believe it gives me more time to consider the particular challenge of each shot. I doubt that it means as big a difference to me as 6-8 strokes, but nonetheless I believe it helps my game to a certain extent. Plus, it gives me more time to enjoy the golf course and its surroundings.

Yes. no doubt. All Golf carts should be banned (unless your 65 or older) !

I don't play any better when I ride than when I walk. I walk the majority of the time. I go through the same routine either way. The only difference is I get to the fairway and green quicker when I ride.
