Pick Up Golf

Many people when they are beginning to pick up golf spend more time perfecting their golf swing than discovering any other single skill for golf. You should also expect to have this same need, after all a terrible golf swing will result in poor playing skills while a stable and refined swing will make you highly successful.

Can working out in the gym in the off or winter season affect your ability to play golf?

Question: Can working out in the gym in the off or winter season affect your ability to play golf?

I am a teenager who has been working out in the gym for a couple of months now, and i am concerned if it will affect my golf swing, distance, speed, etc.

Probably not, but if you put an emphasis on bulking up, watch out for inflexibility. Always stretch after your weight sessions.

It might improve your golf game. It certainly won't hurt it.

Ya u wont be as big of a wuss and probably be able to hit the ball further

No if you are stronger, you should be able to hit the ball further and you're posture should be better since you have a better core strength. It will help you're swing and should be able to hit the ball further. keep hitting the gym, it will improve your game, not hurt it at all. good luck

It will have a definite positive effect on your swing, it will increase you club head spead, also it will help you from getting tired during the game. I work out as much as possible. Good luck
