Pick Up Golf
Many people when they are beginning to pick up golf spend more time
perfecting their golf swing than discovering any other single skill for
golf. You should also expect to have this same need, after all a
terrible golf swing will result in poor playing skills while a stable
and refined swing will make you highly successful.

When pitching, imagine you're throwing the ball underhanded with your dominate hand (right hand for righties, obviously). You're brain and eyes already know roughly how far to throw a ball instinctively- especially if you played a lot of baseball. |

A couple tips are... Always keep your head down when you swing, don't pull your head up to look for the ball in mid-swing, and contact is way more important than strength |

Hi, Thanks for the wonderful question. The best tips I can give you is to not over swing and just relax. This can't be stressed enough because the more you relax the better you'll perform. Most people only apply this tip to their swing, but if you apply it to your putting and chipping you scores will definitely benefit. Also, remember to do your research and make sure you find a trust worthy source to get you golfing tips from. I found The Simple Golf Swing System to be a fantastic resource and it really has helped thousands of golfers. Thanks again for the question. I hope my answer helped. Have Fun, Cameron |

Putting is where you score-remember to keep your head down even after contact with the ball. |

There are lots of golf tips out there, friend. Some are specific like keep your heel down. and some are vague like rotate around your spine...well no kidding. I find the best tips are the ones that cause you to do the most things correctly by keeping focused on the least number of things. Here are a couple... Pick a point on the golfball, usually a dimple or logo, and focus on it til you see a blur of metal hurtling through where the focus point was. This causes you to do many things....keep your head down, keep your head still, shift your weight correctly(because you are simply trying to move around the point you are looking at instead of trying to do 8 different things with control;ling your body). next...SLOW DOWN YOUR TAKEAWAY...to a ridiculously slow pace...as if it is stuck in the adress position and you are pulling it away slowly. remember, how fast you takeaway has no bearing on how fast or hard you swing through the ball, but it does make hitting parallel at the bottom and top much much easier. Good luck |

Keep a decent pair of wet weather gloves in the bag in case it rains. Loads of people get caught out and lose all grip. |
