Question: Do you know about golf shaft spine?

What does it do? Does it really affect the performance of your golf shaft?

Http:/ / clubmaker-online.com/ spines.html Personally, I've never experimented with it. Some people (not just golfers, but fishermen, as well) swear by it, while others don't think it helps. If you're that curious, most club makers can find spines and reinstall your shaft(s) for you to experiment.

All shafts have spines...some more pronounced than other. Steel shafts have little spines...not worth dealing with...but graphite...completely different story. Doesn't matter if it's a $20 shaft or a $500 shaft...they all have spines....there is a new one coming out in September, that is, "perfect ", and needs no spining....not necessarily in need of "puring "...example...$175 Aldila DVS shaft.. first we had to cut the butt because ot was over 16mm larger in the butt-end to even fit in the machine. Second...the spine was so pronounced that this shaft was unless without spining...we spined it,,,,hit dead straight and long. By the way...$175 DVS= deluxe value series, honest!
