Pick Up Golf
Many people when they are beginning to pick up golf spend more time
perfecting their golf swing than discovering any other single skill for
golf. You should also expect to have this same need, after all a
terrible golf swing will result in poor playing skills while a stable
and refined swing will make you highly successful.

Noodle softs are the cheaper versions of Pro V1s. But then again, as amateurs, who cares what ball you use? |

Titleist have proven to be one of if not the best balls in golf at a price. They are a little more expensive but worth every penny. Titleist balls tend to create more spin and long distance. I would go with titleist over noodle. |

Obviously the noodles are better because the name says long and soft, which means it has to be good. Titleist balls don't say "long and soft " therefore they can't be as good as the noodles |

This question has been floating around for a couple years now and most places you'll go to that sell both brands will tell you that for the money, the Noodle is comparible but not better than the Titleist PROV1. The noodle is half the price, just as soft, but does not have as soft of a cover as the 2008 and previous PROV1's had. The soft cover and inner core of the PROV1 provides more spin than the Noodle does and this is why it has an advantage for those people who can shape shots or provide ball spin on command. Due to patent infringement issues and complaints of being too non-durable, the 2009 Titleist PROV1's have a harder cover than the previous years. This helped alleviate the calloway patent infringement as well as complaints from those that pay such high money for a ball that can be damaged by just one bad hit. (scarring the surface of the ball) If you are looking for a soft feeling golf ball that provides a much cheaper experience than the Titleist PROV1, then the Noodle Soft is a great ball. I have played with both and must say that the noodle does not provide as much spin as the titleist around the greens but on miss-hits off the tee, the lesser spin helps reduce a bad slice. At half the price, I would recommend the Noodles to anyone hoping to save some money on the more expensive Titleist balls, but I would never say that they are better. Hope this helps! |

Don't get the noodle. I tried them out a couple months ago and they fly all over the place. You have very little control with them. When you do hit the perfect shot with them they fly but your better off getting the titleist DT Carry for $25 spend the extra cash and get good balls. Nothing against trying everything give the noodle a try and see how you like it. I doubt you will but there's only one way to truly find out. |

Lots of personal preference will go into this decision - particularly since there are so many different Titleist models. Criticalgolf.com has reviews of a number of balls (but unfortunately not the Noodle), which might be worth reading. |
