Question: Golf clubs for beginner under $300?

Hi I'm interesting in learning to play golf and I would like to buy a decent set that I can grow with as I learn to play. I'm looking to spend under 300. Any suggestions that you may have are greatly appreciated. P.S any thoughts on the Top Flite XL 5000 Box Full Set? it $200 Thanks do you have any specific sets that you recommend??

I would try looking on Ebay for a set of Adams 3OS (pay attention to shaft flex). They are well made and very easy to hit. You can find them with the 3 and 4 hybrids which makes life a lot easier on the course. Just make sure that you get them from a reputable company such as 3 Balls or Rock Bottom. As far as putters and drivers go, make sure you try them out before you buy them. These are the 2 clubs that will absolutely kill you if you don't select the right ones. You might want to take a few lessons or sign up for a clinic also. Even the worlds best clubs can't fix a bad swing. Good luck to you.
