Pick Up Golf

Many people when they are beginning to pick up golf spend more time perfecting their golf swing than discovering any other single skill for golf. You should also expect to have this same need, after all a terrible golf swing will result in poor playing skills while a stable and refined swing will make you highly successful.

Can I get a good set for less than $500? Should I only go for a half set?

Nike makes golf clubs for all levels of play. The new Sumo irons are for higher handicaps and the make the blades for the lower/ scratch handicaps. They make clubs for the mid-handicapper too. They don't leave anyone out.

Go to Ebay and pick up a set of used clubs. I would recommend a used set of Pings or Callaways. Either set should be easy to hit for a beginner, and you can probably use Ebay to get a set of irons, woods, putter and bag for $500.00 or less. Remember it is a beginner set and you do not have to start with a brand new top of the line set of clubs. I would also recommend that you go to a driving range, and try a few different sets before you make a purchase. You may also want to see a professional for lessons after you purchase your clubs. Good luck learning a great game.
